@nationalveteransnetwork is developing the Nisei S

@nationalveteransnetwork is developing the Nisei Soldier Traveling Exhibit and they’re seeking photos of Nisei soldiers with families in the WRA camps.

If you have a photo, please send it to the email in the image. The link in our bio provides more information on the exhibit and how to submit it.

“I AM AN AMERICAN: The Nisei Soldier Experience” is a traveling exhibit that will educate the public about the extraordinary heroism of Japanese American World War II Nisei Soldiers.

The National Museum of the United States Army is working in collaboration with the National Veterans Network to create the traveling exhibit that will present six thematic areas: I Am An American, life in Hawaii, life in the Camps, Two Front War, Price of War and Legacy.

The traveling exhibit is scheduled to be hosted in Portland, OR in 2026.

We support the @allsoulsmovement and their call for President Biden to sign an executive order establishing a commission to study reparations for African Americans before leaving office. This action will also honor the legacy of the late Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, who passionately advocated for HR 40 and its pursuit of justice and equality.

We look forward to seeing you all next Sunday, August 18th, for our annual Nikkei Community Picnic. We'll have food, fun, rides for kids, prizes, and surprises!
